Apple Magic Keyboard with Touch IDMy everyday board, and Touch ID is the whole reason: laptop closed behind dual monitors, a fingertip unlocks the Mac, my password vaults, and website passkeys. I liked it enough to buy a second for the bag, so I get the same closed-lid logins in any coworking space. I know some people love mechanical keyboards, but the TouchID is the most important feature for me personally. My time is my most valuable asset, and this helps me shave a few minutes of my time a day. May not seem like much, but those minutes add up over time that I'd rather be doing something more meaningful.9.0Keyboards$$$May 2026
AirPods MaxWhat I wear at the desk. The noise cancellation makes an open room disappear, the mic is clean enough for calls, and they are comfortable enough to leave on through three meetings back to back. I use to wear my AirPod Pro's all day, but they got uncomfortable after a while. Plus, sometimes I am recording videos and need a better mic. Not that the AirPod Max's have a studio quality mic, but still better than AirPod's. Another reason I like these is that they have a USB cable that allows me to hard wire in, either for charging if the battery is low, or I also have a USB-C to 3.5mm cable adapter from Apple that allows me to use these as just regular headphones too, which is handy for doing any kind of studio work I will do occasionally, plugging into my Nintendo Switch, etc.9.0Audio$$$$February 2026
AirPods Pro 3What goes in my pocket for calls on the move. The noise cancellation is shockingly close to the Max in something that vanishes into a jacket, and the mic holds up on a windy street. I never leave the house without these. If I'm taking my kiddo to school and need to be on a call, this is what I reach for. that take up barely any room, and they work seamlessly with all my Apple ecosystem. On a call on my iPhone? Done. Get back to my desk and need to switch over too my laptop and continue the call? Done, no problem to switch. It just works. Want to watch a movie on my lunch break on my iPad? Easily just auto swaps over to it. I really love that the new ones feature FindMy features, so I can make either AirPod, or the case make a sound if they slipped out of my pocket on the couch, or I forget to take them out of my pants and I can't find them, this makes it a breeze to locate.9.0Audio$$$May 2026
Yubico YubiKey 5 NFCHardware MFA that ends phishing for the accounts that matter. If you carry access to customer or production systems, this belongs on your keyring before anything else here.9.0Accessories$$
Logitech Spotlight PresenterNot a laser pointer, and that is the point. It highlights and magnifies right on the screen, so it lands the same in a boardroom or over a screen share where a laser dot is invisible. I use it for every presentation, and it never fails to draw a 'how are you doing that, is that special software?' from the room.9.0Accessories$$$May 2026
SanDisk 1TB Extreme Portable SSDFast, pocketable storage for demo VMs, recordings, and the assets you cannot afford to be without on site. Up to 1,050 MB/s over USB-C and rugged enough for a bag.9.0Accessories$$
Roost Laptop StandSuper small, super light, and the anchor of my go-bag. This stand, my Touch ID keyboard, the Magic Mouse, a trackpad and the MacBook, plus a wall charger and the AirPods Pro, and I can work remote anywhere for hours in real comfort. It folds to almost nothing and lifts the laptop to eye level wherever I land.9.0Accessories$$$May 2026
Peak Design Everyday Backpack 30LThe bag everything else here lives in. I carry it for hours at a time, so two things sold me. The side openings let me reach anything, even gear sitting at the very bottom, without unpacking the whole bag, and most bags I tested simply cannot do that. And the hip belt puts the load on my hips instead of my back on long walks. It does double duty for camera carry, but mostly it is my work bag.9.0Accessories$$$$May 2026
Peak Design Tech PouchWhere all the small stuff lives so it is not loose in the bag. The origami-style pockets expand to hold chargers, cables, adapters, and dongles, everything gets a spot, and the cable pass-through lets me charge without even opening it. It is the difference between reaching for a dongle and dumping the whole bag out to find one.9.0Accessories$$$May 2026
Apple AirTagOne lives in every bag I own. For a few dollars I always know where my work bag, travel bag, and camera bag are, and the Find My network means it works anywhere there is an iPhone nearby, which is basically everywhere. The first time a bag is briefly not where you thought it was, the AirTag has already paid for itself.9.0Accessories$May 2026
Rolling Square AirCard DualLives in my wallet and does two jobs at once: it is my business card, and it is a credit-card-thin tracker that has already saved me hours when my wallet went missing. My favorite part, beyond the fact that it can ring out loud, is that it runs on Apple's Find My network, which in my own research is far more robust than Tile or the other networks. It even recharges wirelessly, so there is no battery to swap.9.0Accessories$$May 2026
Apple iPhone 17 Pro MaxThe phone everything else here orbits. It is my camera for Continuity Camera demos on the go, my hotspot on the road, the screen the MagSafe stands hold, and the device half this list pairs to. A 256GB Pro Max in Deep Blue handles a full day of calls, photos, and demos without me thinking about the battery. Apple Pay is great when traveling for work and I link my work credit card to get free points / cash back.9.0Accessories$$$$May 2026
Logitech MX Anywhere 3SThe compact mouse I'd run if portability weren't my top priority. I travel with the flat Magic Mouse, but the MX Anywhere 3S is the one I keep coming back to — it tracks on nearly any surface including glass, the MagSpeed wheel flips between precise ratchet and free-spin for tearing through long pages, and the clicks stay quiet enough for a live call. Full transparency: it's on my shortlist to switch to, not something I've logged months on yet — but everything about how it feels in the hand is right.9.0Mice$$
Logitech M720 TriathlonThe mouse I actually use. It pairs to my work laptop and personal machine at once and switches between them with a button, and a single battery lasts me the better part of a year.8.0Mice$$May 2026
Apple Magic TrackpadThe big glass surface that makes macOS gestures actually worth using. Swipe between desktops, four-finger Mission Control, and pinch-to-zoom feel native here in a way no mouse matches, and the whole thing charges over USB-C and pairs the moment you plug it in. Especially useful for sliding around sales spreadsheets left and right (pro-tip: you can use Shift+Scroll to scroll left/right). I love the Show Desktop gesture where you spread four fingers out. I have some awesome widgets on my desktop for weather, to-do's, etc that I can see quickly that way too. Battery life lasts for months on a single charge.8.0Mice$$$
